The Fillmore Detroit is Detroit’s premier entertainment venue located the city’s historical Theater District. Formerly the State Theatre, the Fillmore sits on the ground floor of the twelve story Palms Building, directly across Woodward Avenue from Comerica Park. Designed in a classic Italian Renaissance Revival style by renowned architect C.Howard Crane in the early 1920's, the theatre opened as a grand movie house in 1925. Reminiscent of the heyday of the old Detroit movie houses, it is elegant inside and out.
